Legend, I think, rather than depicting the twins as the almost mythological villains of '60s London, endeavours to find the human beings beneath the legend. In this, the film is successful to a point, but the audience doesn't get a full sense of what monsters the Krays actually were.

This aside, Legend is a good movie, the highlights of which, are two mesmerising performances from Tom Hardy.
