I think what happens in the first half of it is absolutely riveting and exciting, and Tom Hardy gives his all as Reggie and Ron Kray. Had it been played by somebody else, I don't think I would've been interested in seeing the film.

I think it is generally a well-directed film, and I loved its shiny, if not flimsy, aesthetics. What falls flat for me is the second half of the story. I found it quite boring and it dragged a bit. There are some really good things in it and I enjoyed it on the surface level, but in the end "Legend" ends up being a wasted opportunity.
