Review of Legend (2015) by John B — 22 Nov 2015

Can't believe I just read someone saying the one with the Kemp brothers is better than this! Come on that's ridiculous on so many levels. I've read quite a bit about the Kray twins and watched a few documentaries on them.

The 90's film is far from accurate they are in no way identical twins for a start. The look of them, their build and their personalities do not work. Ok there's a few inaccuracies in Legend and it's probably not as violent as it could of been.

But the characters (especially Ronnie) are interesting and there's a much larger sense of believability about it. The only way it could've been more detailed and gone right into the rise and fall, would be to make it a 3-4 hour long film.

I see this more as a character study than a story and for that it's great. Tom hardy has proven himself to be a fantastic actor yet again and the cinematography is brilliant.
