Review of Legend (1985) by Mark G — 24 Jun 2009
I've heard there are multiple versions of this movie. The one I saw featured the Tangerine Dream score, not the Goldsmith score. Usually, I like TD soundtracks, but this one was both bland and overbearing--kind of like having Wonder Bread shoved down your throat. As for the movie, well it features great makeup and sets, but the plot is kind of stupid, at least what plot there actually is.
The best parts are Tim Curry's Darkness, who could give Blizard's Diablo a run for his money, and when Mia Sara gets all gothed out in his underground layer. To sum it up, this is what would have happened if your sister's glow in the dark unicorn poster from the 80s turned into a feature length film.
