Ok. Get out your parachute pants and Duran Duran albums. This 80's fantasy film with Tom Cruise (strange casting) Mia Sara, and Tim Curry is a fun fairy tale. Tim Curry makes a great, and believable Dark Lord type.
Excellent "Evil Laugh." I think Cruise was miscast here as a "forest child," but it's fun to watch him trying not to be Tom Cruise in this fantasy landscape. I like this movie.
It's fun, campy and Mia Sara and Cruise are nice to look at. It's not Lord of the Rings. But I gave it three "Excess from the 80's" stars.
