Review of Legend (1985) by J Brigham H — 21 Jul 2012

LEGEND is probably the most pure, unadulterated fantasy geek fodder of a movie I've ever seen. Outside of the Dungeons & Dragons crowd, I'm doubtful that many people would be able to enjoy it.

It features traditional fantasy mainstay creatures like unicorns, fauns, dwarfs, goblins and Tim Curry in classically-styled devil makeup as the villain, Darkness. The sequence of events is very simplistic and peppered with fantasy motifs, and a lot of the dialogue, especially from the goblin characters, is even spoken in verse.

For me, it was a very awkward viewing experience.
