Review of Legend (1985) by Kimberly K — 02 Jul 2013

This film... took me back to my childhood. It reminds me of a time in which I managed to see beauty and had a wide-eyed perception to anything in EVERYTHING that I encountered in my environment. Legend is a film that managed to affect me as an adult in the same way that the VERY early Disney films affected me as a child. This is a beautifully original, yet pleasantly familiar film that displays some of the finest in emotional simplicity.

For those that are not able to find any value in the ability of a film to emotionally entrance you, I have this to say, this film was directed by RIDLEY SCOTT, the man who brought us Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator. Like the first two aforementioned films did for me w. the sci-fi genre, this film made me wish that I could see Ridley Scott try out another fantasy film.
