Review of Left Behind (2014) by Alex S — 01 May 2015
Last time Nicolas Cage was in a film set in a plane, it was awesome and it was called Con Air.
Last time Nicolas Cage was in a disaster film, it was actually quite entertaining except for the ending and it was called Knowing.
What the fuck happened here?
This has got to be one of the worst Nicolas Cage films I've ever seen.
The plot was too predictable, the characters are stupid (maybe too stupid for any Michael Bay film), nothing really exciting happens with the exception of people suddenly disappearing, and that is literally 15 seconds of a 1 hour and a half long film that was actually decent.
So yeah, the best bit was on the trailer.
What's worse is, it's not even in the 'so bad it's funny' genre like The Wicker Man, it's just fucking awful.
Nicolas Cage is actually a good actor (proved in the likes of Bad Lieutenant (2009), Raising Arizona, Face/Off, Adaptation, etc.), he deserves better than roles in shit like this.
