I have read the book, seen the movie with Kirk Cameron in it and was VERY disappointed in this production. I had great visions of a Hollywood high budget film that would be a roller coaster ride with special effects.

Yes the vanishings were well done but where was the rest of the story?? Where was the original story - everything was flipped around. It seemed disjointed to me. As a Christian I believe there are many films that have done well financially that were Christian and High Budget - The Passion comes to mind.

I hope if they continue this series that they get excited and really tell the story for the horror it will be for those Left Behind. This film felt like it was low budget and didn't really give any scripture to back it up.

This story is the biggest horror story ever for those Left Behind. We can't imagine what it will be like to be alive during that time. For a culture who likes to have it's socks scared off they could do much better of telling this story.

All that being said this is an ok movie but I recommend you rent it when it is released. Not really worth the big screen costs.
