Review of Left Behind (2014) by Dallin C — 06 Nov 2015
So all the young and faithful adults are being translated, beamed up to heaven by God, because now is the time to repent. That part was actually OK, once we got past the dull, plodding, painful dialogue and acting of the first half of the film.
I was about to shut it off until people started disappearing. Then and ONLY then did the movie become somewhat watchable (I did skip a bit here and there through the first part, I must confess). But still, a very shallow, one dimensional plot with cliche characters spewing mundane dialogue.
This was certainly easily forgettable. I was thinking at the end of the film, OK, now is when the story could really pick up some steam. That must have been the thought of those who developed the TV series.
One rare case where the TV show is much greater than the film. I just hope you didn't go to the theater and waste a lot of money on this.
