Filmed at the end of their 1973 US tour but released in 1976, this live DVD doesn't quite capture Led Zeppelin at their best. Two other concerts on the tour were recorded but were never used, and Page was tempted to go into the studio and make some over-dubs to account for the lack of punch behind some of their songs.

Filmed by Joe Massot and Peter Clifton, the idea was to produce two glimpses of Led Zeppelin, on stage and away from the public eye. Hence the "fantasy" sequences. Page is seen re-inacting the inside sleeve of their fourth album, the man climbing the mountain to see The Hermit. Plant portrays an ancient warrior, on a quest to save a beautiful princess from her castle prison, and John Paul Jones terrorises villages at night with his band of masked villians. John Bonhams is by far the best, not bothering with castles etc, we see Bonzo down the pub, riding his motorbike through the country-side and building "The Old Hyde", which was to be his home until he tragically died in 1980.

A very good film featuring some good songs, well worth a watch.
