Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Bill P — 08 Oct 2008
A suicidal drunk and a messed-up whore fall in love and fall apart over a crazed, tragic month in Las Vegas. One of the most interesting romantic movies of the 90s, this film should have made Elizabeth Shue a star, but instead catapulted Nic Cage into the limelight.
A wonderous, disturbing and rather surprising movie from master of mood Mike Figgis.
