Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Becky H — 14 Sep 2008
Nicolas Cage won a deserved Oscar, but it's the BRILLIANT performance by Elisabeth Shue that is the glue to this movie. It's a completely fearless turn. The relationship between the two is what the movie is about, and although they are, respectively, an alcholohic and a hooker, you feel for them completely.
Excellent.
