Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Timothy M — 15 Jun 2009
Nicolas Cage plays Ben Sanderson, an alcoholic who has hit rock bottom. He goes to Vegas with plans to drink himself to death. There he meets a hooker and the two of them form a friendship, that is based on unconditional acceptance.
Cage does an excellent job of acting in this one. While th movie is sad and depressing at the same time the realness of the characters keeps you interested and wanting the best for them. Good movie.
