Colour me underwhelmed. Yes, Cage was good. Yes, it dealt with alcoholism with a level of maturity and authenticity rarely seen in cinema. And yes, the soundtrack was good. But that's it. The plotting is lazy and the pacing is all over the shop and by the end I could not understand why this film has become so revered.
