Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Enrique R — 19 May 2013
Nicholas Cage thoroughly deserves his Oscar for his brilliant portrayal of alcoholic Ben. Although the attraction between Sera and Ben is, the movie is otherwise realistic and does not glamorise alcoholism as some others of its ilk do.
Expect to come away disgusted by the gritty reality of this strange couple's few weeks together.
