Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Graeme H — 29 Aug 2013
A haunting, brilliant tour of sadness and desperation built around a man's descent into oblivion. Nicholas Cage gives what is arguably the best performance of the decade and the finest of his career.
This is a horrible, dark picture built around two deeply flawed yet loving individuals. "Leaving Las Vegas" is one of the saddest films I have ever seen. You will be floored.
