It is amazing that such a psychological thriller even made it off the drawing board in escapist-minded Hollywood of the time. But chances are, the studio thought Gene Tierney & the GORGEOUS color cinematography would sell it & it did.
60 years before DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, suburbia never looked so flashy & cool. Now, we can watch it for the plot, too.
