Review of Leave Her to Heaven (1945) by Joan W — 29 Dec 2011
The most beautiful cinematography I've ever seen in a film. The sets were riveting and I found myself stopping the picture to observe more detail. It had a Frank Lloyd Wright feeling all the way through it.
The acting was superb, even from the supporting cast. Jeanne Crain, meh. Mary Phillips was excellent as was Price and Ray Collins. The storyline was daring for it's day...with the murder of an invalid.
This move is a blockbuster.
