Review of Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990) by Nia E — 03 Sep 2009
It takes far too long for anything to happen in this film. It has two up-sides: Viggo Mortensen and Ken Foree. Ergo, the best scene in the film is when the two of them fight. The rest of it, however, is a disappointment, and that's before comparing it to the previous two TCM films.
The leading lady is utterly crap compared to Stretch and Sally. The few little references to the original film - dead armadillo, doll named Sally - do nothing to make the film big or clever. Small and stupid would've sufficed, but we're barely provided with that.
When things do eventually get going, it's okay for about 20 minutes, but otherwise? Utter snoozefest.
