Review of Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990) by Alex C — 20 Nov 2009
Nice sequel has many flaws. First off, Leatherface is shacked up with a new group of insane people, why? Who are they to him? Two, how did Leatherface survive having two chainsaws being put in his stomach and than being in the room when it blew up?
Aside from that, the film is real fun to watch. It does seem to have a hard time staying on track with some stuff, but it all comes together by the end.
Kate Hodge does an incredible job as the newly tormented heroine, but the end of the film I got nervous as she had a nervous breakdown. Ken Foree also does a great job as another man thrust into this madness. R. A. Mihailoff takes over the role from Gunnar Hansen and Bill Johnson of Leatherface and manages to really keep the role outstanding. A task the next Leatherface actor couldn't do.

TRIVIA:
Two actors from Friday the 13th 7: The New Blood(1987) appear in this film. William Butler and Jennifer(David and Young Tina respectably).
Caroline Williams does make a cameo as a TV News Reporter, possibly trying to track down Leatherface as a news reporter. She played the heroine in TCM II.
