While it is not unwatchable Leatherface fails to build enough suspense or tension to truly realize its horror potential. The filmmakers instead chose to glorify the gory kill fantasies and play sequences to a more thriller-action-esque rythmn.
The screenplay is poor and the pacing is far too quick to allow any of the drama to take effect.
