By David Sims (534) for The Atlantic (1,046) on 04 Apr 2018

When it’s at its subtlest, Lean on Pete sings with power; but when things get outwardly grim, it loses a little of its impact…

Review of Lean on Pete (2018)

By Emily Yoshida (237) for New York Magazine (Vulture) (3,519) on 04 Apr 2018

Review of Lean on Pete (2018)

By Stephanie Zacharek (2,333) for Time (1,811) on 04 Apr 2018

Review of Lean on Pete (2018)

By Austin Trunick (219) for Under the Radar (636) on 03 Apr 2018

Review of Lean on Pete (2018)

By Anthony Lane (1,079) for The New Yorker (1,837) on 01 Apr 2018

Buscemi is the least grass-fed of actors, meant for the rat-run of city streets, and, if I didn’t quite believe in him as a country guy,…

Review of Lean on Pete (2018)

By Christopher Gray (138) for Slant Magazine (8,298) on 31 Mar 2018

As sharply as it delineates an America of spotty, informal economies, the film avoids articulating most of the people who live and work in…

Review of Lean on Pete (2018)

By Chloe Lizotte (2) for Film Comment Magazine (842) on 08 Mar 2018

Plummer's performance is remarkably interior, bottled up behind his brimming wide eyes, and Haigh leaves enough space for the emotional weight…
