Review of Lean On Me (1989) by Marian K — 15 Dec 2007
This film was packed full of truth and conviction, with Morgan Freeman ferociously leading a pack of highly kinetic actors who roar through the film with the madness and sincerity only accomplished by those who deeply believe in the art they are a part of and have the talent to bring that art to life.
The intensity is electrifying and never for a moment (though one or two moments get sweetly close) does the film feel emotionally manipulative.
