Review of Lean On Me (1989) by Matthew A — 07 Jan 2011
It is quite an ok film, but the beginning is awful for not only children, but it is awful for the human eyes. A girl gets her shirt ripped off (nothing shows, however, because it is PG-13) and two guys get in a fight and when a teacher comes to break it up, he gets beaten.
And they show a guy heading to a hospital, and he was bleading kinda bad. It is about how a super intenent of a high school named Joe Clark in a great school , but leaves, and the tables turn. The school turns TERRIBLE, graffiti, fights, cursing, EVERYTHING!!! He thens becomes the principal of the school in an effort to turn it around.
After the beginning, it isn't as terrible of a school, and that's what saves it from being bad. It is also an inspiring film and teaches you that even though a school is bad, hope can come and good things can happen.
