Review of Lean On Me (1989) by Jason Z — 25 Nov 2007
This is one of the BEST movies that I have watched! It almost seems as if it was based on a true story. Morgan Freeman was at his highest point in this movie. Teaching lessons and everyday life struggles that high schoolers go through at home and school.
One of his favorite quotes to me is when he's in jail and the mayor comes in and asks him to send his kids home from rioting in front of the court hose and he says"I don't have to do nothing but stay black and die!".
Also when he's on the court house steps and receives the letter that East Side High passed the exit exam and tells the state to go to hell. We ALL need somebody to lean on!!!
