Review of Le Week-End (2013) by Mark J — 14 Oct 2013
A middle-aged couple visit Paris 30 years after honeymooning there. Unfortunately, what starts off as a noble attempt to re-kindle their marriage, leads to the re-opening of old wounds and the exchange of some bitter words.
It's proper drama for the sixty-something generation. Anyone in a long-term relationship will no doubt wince at some of the humour here - it's that sharp - but there is some optimism and a degree of reconciliation towards the end, even if it does leave you feeling a little jaded.
