Review of Le Samouraï (1967) by Andrew B — 28 Jul 2007
This film is pretty demanding--kind of slow, but incredibly well put together and very interesting. Jef Costello is one of the most fascinating characters in any film I have ever seen, and he hardly ever opens his mouth.
It's all about look and poise and atmosphere in this film, and it's all pulled off to perfection.
