Review of Le Samouraï (1967) by Jason U — 12 Oct 2008
Anything Melville and Delon do together is worth watching. People often pick this as their fave Melville, but I'm more inclined towards L'Armee Des Ombres. Remember - Walter Hill and John Woo worship this film, because Hill made The Driver, which is an American version of this with car chases and Woo made The Killer which takes parts of this film and rises it to the level of hysteria.
