Wow, what a movie! I am absolutely blown away by this picture! Very few movies have given me instant satisfaction on their first viewing. This is one of those films. Not only does it have confident directing, an outstanding lead performance by Alain Delon and gorgeous scenery, but it also has a plot that remains thrilling and exciting throughout.
Jean-Pierre Melville has become my favorite French director to date. I absolutely love the way he shot this film and the way he created an atmosphere that is absolutely mesmerizing. I cannot compliment this film enough.
It is a must watch for all cinema lovers. Very highly recommended!
