Man, I love Jean-Pierre Melville. Such a high caliber film maker and one of the all time great directors of the gangster film.
Le Doulos hits all the right notes from beginning to end. Fantastic performances, engulfing story, lots of action, those great shots Melville is such a master at, and that customary coolness all of Melville's films so effortlessly encompass.
