Daniel Craig, before James Bond, does a stellar job playing the unnamed protagonist in this brilliant British crime film. Much in the vein of other greats such as Lock Stock or Snatch, there's drugs, gangsters, several storylines and a whole lot of money involved.

Michael Gambon is delightfully evil, you know...mainly because I was pleased to see him outside of a role which didn't consist of...Dumbledore. Matthew Vaughn (who later on went to do the amazing Kick-Ass) does a fantastic job under the guise of director, developing several trademarks which he uses in later films (again.

..Kick-Ass). The standout scene has to be the magnificent chase through the warehouse, which stands as incredibly thrilling, yet brief. Less comedic than the aforementioned films, but twice the amount of thrills and a far superior script, this, in the sea of British crime films, is one that manages to float to the surface.

A definite recommendation.
