Review of Layer Cake (2004) by Steve W — 22 May 2010
Kinetic and full of energy, Layer Cake is a solid crime thriller. Full of sweeping camera movements, an upbeat soundtrack and excellent editing, the movie never gets boring and always entertains. The dialogue is sharp and the violence and witticisms are there when necessary.
I didn't like the ending as its not very subtle, but that is my only nitpick.
