Review of Layer Cake (2004) by Ty P — 07 Feb 2012
Matthew Vaughn shows omce again what a good producer he is, however in is directorial debut shows that he has a long way to come. Layer Cake seems like a maturer version of the same old Lock, stock story and even carries with it the unrealistic and over the top acting.
Leaving a fair bit to be desired and packed with loads of holes, Layer Cake does provide some cool watching and some powerful bits, especially the ending which will come out of nowhere and stay true to the films meaning.
