Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Eddie K — 10 Jul 2011
At almost four hours long, Lawrence of Arabia is the definition of an epic. In this film, we get to see the depressing transformation of a unique intellectual with big dreams to unite the Arabs to claim their lands as one.
Lawrence is a man who writes his own destiny, and goes against all odds. He inspires many and gains power. Unfortunately, reality sets in and hits him in the face, when his actions and the responsibilities become too big for him to handle.
Overall, I can see the immense work that was put in this movie and it is no wonder that this will always be remembered in the history of cinema. I was surprised to learn that this was actually a true story, which makes this movie that much better.
