Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Jack G — 04 Oct 2012
It is great, and now I DO think O'Toole was the best Lawrence available (as for Anthony Quinn, I dunno). You MUST see this at least once in a theater if you can. It really is one of those films that was meant for the biggest possible screen imaginable.
That it isn't David Lean's best film just speaks to his talents elsewhere (though the 2nd half does get up there to the best political-commentary that came with River Kwai).
