Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Sumit S — 09 Nov 2012
Even with 4 hours of runtime, Lawrence of Arabia manages to hook you up to the screen with the sheer magic of its exceptional cinematography, dominating performance by Peter O'Toole & impressive direction by David Lean.
One of the grandest epics ever produced on film celluloid, Lawrence of Arabia, is not just a film but a journey. The vast desert n landscapes, the rising of the sun & calmness of the night & the brilliant performances, everything is captured nicely.
As for the movie, the first half of the film is as flawless as its photography. It stumbles a little in the second half which wasn't as great as the first act. Overall, an epic of true proportions, Lawrence of Arabia is a historic tale of one man's struggle to bring freedom to a country he has fallen in love with.
