Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Nathan H — 08 Aug 2013
Pay no attention to the 1 hour 51 minutes length listed on this website. This movie is close to four hours. And like any movie of that length, it is divided into two parts. The first half is an absolute waste.
There are a few scenes that establish Lawrence as a character, but most of it is just footage of people walking across the desert. The second half is much better (it would have to be). You see an increase in action, high stake events, and character development.
Now is it worth sitting through the first 1 and a half hours to get there. No. But if you flip the DVD over to the B-Side immediately you might find this movie enjoyable.
