Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Tanner B — 11 Aug 2015
-IGNORE THIS RATING.
4/4.
Perhaps the most ambitious and daring of all films. Director David Lean took immensely bold risks filming this king of epic films. Military commander T. E. Lawrence transfers to Arabia, where he becomes a widely popular military figure. The most fascinating element is how Lawrence experiences with his own opportunities in and out of battles. Peter O' Toole creates possibly the most fascinating character in all of cinema-ranks with Robert De Niro in TAXI DRIVER. Truly impressive Cinematography (Freddie Young), and searing lead performance. A miracle of a movie. Seven Oscars for Picture, Director, Cinematography, Art-Direction, Sound, Editing, and Score.
*Might be my favorite movie.
