Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Ken C — 18 Jan 2011
I can't believe I was able to sit through all four hours without getting bored. The only times I got bored at was at the action scenes believe it or not, I don't know epic 60's action scenes just don't do it for me.
Peter o'Toole plays Lawrence who reminds me alot of Malcom Macdowell in Caligula only not as prissy, annoying, and doesn't like to naked dance in the rain and hey Peter O'Toole was in that movie too.
At first Lawrence comes off as a hero but in the second half it seems that the hero was whipped out of him quite literally and ends up coming off as just some guy who enjoys killing people. The only thing I didn't like about this movie was the ending, it didn't end very triumphantly or as satisfying as I thought it would judging from the greatness of the first half.
I'd say check it out it's one of those movies that you must watch if your a film buff.
