Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Mike V — 22 Jul 2015
Lawrence of Arabia is a 1962 British epic historical drama film based on the life of T. E. Lawrence. It was directed by David Lean.
The music and cinematography are superb and some of the early desert scenes breathtaking. Featuring a stellar cast, there are strong performances all round especially from O'Toole. I watched the long 227 minute 'Director's Cut' version and found it far too long to hold my interest and concentration.
Considered the best Epic film, containing one of the top 5 Musical Scores and amongst the top 10 greatest Movies of all time.
AAW GGWD 1001.
