Certainly quite a thing to look at, but I'm going to have to watch it again to appreciate its high standing in cinema. Exceedingly good performances and a breath-taking first half, but the theme is muddy, the story is slow and it all peters out long before the film ends.
The promise of the first half of the movie just sort of falls away. I was left a little puzzled and disappointed.
