Review of Lawn Dogs (1997) by Luis Henrique M — 09 Mar 2013
This movie has caught my attention on how cinema is not only entertainment, but also a very effective communication medium. It has fantasy, very good acting from the main characters Trent and Devon to the supporting, allegorical cast and plenty of social critique and metaphors - you'll want to see this more than once as it will always bring something new, some little detail that you missed before.
Devon is like an angel bringing conscience for Trent, helping him 'grow up' in a very nice reversal on the coming of age ritual.
