Review of Lawless (2012) by Jason F — 16 Feb 2013
This could have been a great movie, if...! I love 1930's and prohibition themes, so I was really looking forward to seeing it. Countryside setting out of the 'Big Chicago town' was promising a different point of view on common Thompson machine gun killing.
It really looked like shooting is not allowed at the countryside, or not tolerated as much as in cities, just pure physical strength allowed. Unfortunately, I cannot leave the movie with more than three stars, the boy (Jack) and his whole story-line was so unsympathetic, I did not like his acting at all, the final shooting way too Hollywood, not even speaking of the final ending.
