Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Dominic F — 01 Jul 2008
I dug this out and watched it again with the passing of Antonioni. It remains one of the finest films of all time, Monica Vitti is so beautiful and gives a stunning performance, sort of remade as The Picnic At Hanging Rock.
It was voted the 2nd greatest film ever made in 1962 in Sight & Sound, only two years after it was made, I can't imagine ANY film doing this now!
