Review of Laurel Canyon (2003) by Simon S — 10 Apr 2005
This was a good movie. The plot was weak, but the great performances by Frances McDormand, Kate Beckinsale and Christian Bale made it all the better to watch. I think Frances McDormand is an acting goddess and she proved that in Fargo. She didn't do such a great job here, but did okay enough to be watched. Alessandro Nivola and Natascha McElhone had good supporting roles, too. I would watch it again, but I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much.
