Review of Latter Days (2004) by Nickels K — 24 Jul 2007
[size=3][font=Franklin Gothic Medium]Well let's begin.
Latter days is another movie about forbiddenlove between 2 men. Well I won't get into how many times we heard the story (one's a mormon too a la "Angels in America"), but it works well and it's relitivley tragic. The ending is a bit rushed to happiness. I couldn't really take this movie that seriously though cause the film looks like a late night made for TV movie on HBO. Not because of the acting, script, or sex, but it looks exactly like one. Oh well anyways an alright rent if you like the Gay and Lesbian genre, but it isn't amazing.
Live Free or Die Hard is very strange. It's exactly like all the other Die Hard movies (minus Justin Long and Kevin Smith) except it's the quintesensial post 9/11 action film. It's super political (it even kind of has a message about homeland security) and yet still a linear action filck. I was both amazed and annoyed. It's done well for an action summer flick and it's pretty bad ass action for being PG-13. If you have a summer movie addiction then check this one out.
