Review of Late Spring (2014) by Wut S — 28 Jul 2007
Old-fashioned and simplistic. Late Spring tells a story of a daughter who is pressured into marriage by the elder generation. Interesting subtle clash between the traditional and modern family philosophy, the film focuses on the sacrificial, family-bond virtue of the post-War era.
A little too slow and uneventful for my taste, but a harmonious film, nontheless.
