Review of Late Spring (2014) by Cong Han L — 17 Apr 2009
A simple family melodrama that eschews typical dramatic conflicts for a genuine, heartfelt look at social norms and how it affects people. The way portrays well-meaning people and how problems arise out of that feels so real - It's one for the time capsule.
Okay, that wasn't very descriptive, since I had probably just described most of the more well-known Ozu works.
