Review of Last Vegas (2013) by Brad S — 26 Jul 2015
What happens when you take 4 Oscar caliber actors, who surprisingly have never worked together before, and put them in Vegas, you get a very sweet and quite funny little film. Michael Douglas is getting married (to a much younger girl I might add) and he invites his 3 longtime friends to join him in Vegas for the weekend.
Ya, it's kind of a rip off of The Hangover but it's done well enough that I'm willing to overlook the similarities. It isn't over the top hilarious, Kevin Kline and Morgan Freeman get a majority of the lines, but the movie has a huge heart when it comes to love and friendship and what friends will do for each other.
The acting is solid for a comedy, which is not really shocking considering the resumes of the 4 leads. Definitely worth a watch for the laughs that are there. RECOMMENDED.
